About Tamworth Strollers WFC

Walking Football for Fitness, Fun and Friendship in Tamworth

The club was formed on 28th March 2018 under the name Wilnecote Strollers. The name was changed in March 2024 to Tamworth Strollers WFC. Its purpose was to offer the local community a facility to rekindle the embers of returning to playing the beautiful game albeit at a slower pace! It provides individuals an opportunity to play football, create friendships and to get fitter and healthier.

We cater for all abilities, as long as you are able to walk, you can play. If you are 45 or over then come along to our training sessions. We train at Tamworth Enterprise College on Monday evenings 7pm to 8pm and The Football Factory on Fridays 7pm to 8pm.

First session for new members is free then £3 per session on Mondays and £5 on Fridays. No memberships fees to pay, just a simple form to sign to become a member.

We aim to promote the club within the local community of Tamworth and in local football leagues.

Inclusive and Competitive Football Opportunities for All

We also aim to offer social football to those that just want to have a kick about in a structured way and for those that want a more competitive game to play in a league.

We aim to provide all our services in a way that’s fair to all members. We do not discriminate for sex, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or belief.

We have a duty of care towards all members attending our training sessions and members are expected to show the same care and respect to others when attending sessions.

Committee members are elected annually at an Annual General Meeting, normally held in June. Elected officers hold office for twelve months and can be re-elected or removed at the AGM. It’s your club, run by members for the benefit of its members.

The Club is FA Affiliated and participates in the Birmingham County Walking Football League, league games being played at Pack Meadow, Coleshill.
